The new law on the organization of local authorities has given the region responsibility for economic development. Each region will have to establish its strategy and put it into practice.
In this context, there is a trip to the Middle Kingdom, an essential destination in the globalization of economic exchanges.
The goal? To chart, like Marco Polo, a “Silk Road” between the West and the East…
A delegation of 30 companies and 30 major tourism stakeholders from Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur, accompanied by Christian Estrosi, President of the Region, are in China for an official trip until October 21st.
China is both a strategic destination for regional economic development and a crucial source for tourism in our region. The aim is to promote Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur as the leading destination for Chinese tourists.
Concerning economic development and attractiveness, the objective is, on one hand, to conduct a number of business meetings with major Chinese companies likely to invest or establish themselves in Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur and, on the other hand, to organize several meetings and exchanges of views for regional companies around business opportunities.
The delegation will stay in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Guangzhou.
