Sam and Françoise are bored in their aquarium-like office at “Direct’ Assurance, hello!!!” Sam, a former nude dancer in Argentina, dreams of returning there, while Françoise, a passionate union activist, is convinced that Che Guevara is still alive! Embezzling money from their company, they hop on a huge motorcycle and set off to conquer Argentina, ending up as nearly naked dancers in a cabaret in Buenos Aires.
Sam and Françoise is like a modern-day fable. One morning you wake up and shout “I’ve had enough!” in front of the mirror. You leave everything behind to head out on an adventure. It was necessary to contrast the static nature of office life with the wild journey across the untouched expanses of the pampas!!!
A slightly comic book-style treatment was used to transition between these two worlds.
