A temporary photography exhibition is currently taking place at the Nice flea market. Entitled Crossed Perspectives: Hypnagogic Wanderings and The Passing Man, it is presented by artists Stรฉphanie Chotia, Loic Deltour, and Lionel Bouffier.
The said market was renovated in 2017 thanks to the Street-art focus desired by Mayor Christian Estrosi. Since this rehabilitation, several artists have contributed to the site, such as Anthony Alberti, Patrick MOYA, and C215. Some galleries (Franck Michel, ATOME, Nicolas Brunet, etc.) support and assist these initiatives. The panels installed on the exterior facades allow for the organization of temporary exhibitions.
“Crossed Perspectives” reveals the work of three artists through two complementary series of photographs: “Hypnagogic Wanderings” by Moko Madโmoiselle (Stรฉphanie Chotia) and “The Passing Man” by Loic Deltour and Lionel Bouffier. Each of these series places a solitary figure amid dreamlike realities, a figure that expresses itself through a sober body language. Echo, destiny, wanderingsโso many words resonate between these two approaches and bring them together. The exhibition takes place right on the street, visible to all passersby, and will only end with the passing of time.
