On Monday, February 20, 2012, a new phase in the creation of the Operation of National Interest – Eco Valley – will be reached. With the inauguration of the Mediterranean Institute for Risk, Environment, and Sustainable Development and the Center for Innovative Business Hosting, a true hub of innovation, education, research, and high technology comes to life.
The Operation of National Interest is situated at the strategic heart of Nice Cรดte d’Azur. Spanning nearly 10,000 hectares, the area is being exemplary reorganized around sustainable development.
IMREDD, one of the first components of the Eco-Campus in the Plaine du Var, brings together researchers, teachers, and students in the fields of environment and sustainable development. Since January 2012, about twenty students have joined part of the Nice Premium building. In a second phase, more than 200 staff members (including 100 researchers and 50 doctoral candidates) and 800 students will work in concert with entrepreneurs and economic partners located in the same building.
Since the end of 2011, the CAEI of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis has provided more than thirty companies as well as most business creation support organizations with a framework conducive to innovation, creation, and economic development. The five-year goal of the CAEI of Nice Cรดte d’Azur is to create 120 companies and over 450 jobs.
