Guillaume Bottazzi will single-handedly create a 200m² contemporary work on-site in Nice.
This performance will contribute to the overall development of the city and will also promote social cohesion; art is a powerful catalyst that helps create new connections.
The more art we see, the more we are ready to embrace it; art should be accessible to all.
This is an artistic performance co-financed by the city of Nice, represented by Mrs. Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, the project’s patron, and ICF (Immobilière des Chemins de Fers) South-East Mediterranean, the owner of the building. Maestria Paints is the project’s sponsor.

Residents will be able to directly observe the painting coming to life, with the artist creating the work alone on-site. It will contribute to the cultural awakening of the residents and promote social cohesion. On this occasion, meetings and workshops will provide opportunities for exchange and generational bonding.

Guillaume Bottazzi is a French artist who lived in Nice before moving to work in New York. He is active on the international contemporary art scene, with his works exhibited in galleries, museums, and art centers, notably in New York, London, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Qatar, Durban, the Philippines, Budapest, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Moscow, and Tokyo.
Guillaume Bottazzi specializes in artistic actions in urban environments; he has already completed around thirty often monumental site-specific art commissions. He recently created, under the initiative of the city of Tokyo and several museums in Japan, a 99m² work in central Tokyo.
