Every year, it’s the same old song. The shops take on the colors of good old Santa Claus, the streets light up brilliantly, the Ferris wheel is back in action at Place Massรฉna, and the holiday leaves have been booked a long time ago. Plus, there are no surprises. We have a whole year to prepare, plan, or organize our New Year’s Eve. And yet, many still don’t know what their change of year will entail.
At the office or among friends, in the evening in front of the TV just the two of you or on the phone with parents, who hasn’t yet heard a phrase that pleases no one? Everyone asks around, everyone queries their neighbors to find out if what they’re doing is normal.
As far as I am concerned, the answer is: “No, I still don’t know what I’m doing!” But I’m not worried, I know that, as every year, things will sort themselves out at the last minute. A phone call in the afternoon or the day before telling me that for a few euros, there’s a big event planned somewhere.
Of course, there are those who are prepared, who have already bought party favors to celebrate at home with the kids. There are those who have already booked their seats at a grand restaurant on the coast or planned a skiing trip or a stay in the islands. But what about the others?
The majority are like me, waiting as the day approaches, thinking that the veil of uncertainty will lift, as it always does.
So for them, here’s a little nudge: an evening at a place I cherish.
My favorite spot:
An evening is planned at Karpedie’M, rue Benoรฎt Bunico next to Place Rossetti. Several DJs will be there to entertain you till the end of the night, including the presence of Karl Ritter and Funky Fresh. Starting at 8 PM, the atmosphere will crescendo to the rhythm of electronic and trendy music. Candies, cocktails, champagne, etc., everything will be put in place to give you the best evening possible.
