On July 24, 2007, Sébastien Filippini decided to establish the Nice association for cultural and sports initiatives, also known as ANICES. With 17 members in 2007, ANICES now has 113 members and 8 sports and cultural sections as of 2015.
Starting with a handful of athletes and eight years later having an array of leisure athletes, competitors, high-level athletes, titles of French Champion, European Champion, World Champion, and even a Paralympic medal—who would have thought and who would have believed it?
For its president Sébastien Filippini, it is “a meteoric rise that is due to our volunteers, our members, our athletes, our friends, our sponsors, the communities, all those who believe in our activities, our projects, and who allow us to realize them!”
