AnimaNice: When Culture Rhymes with Solidarity

Latest News

In exchange for food items, the public was able to attend around forty events, benefiting the Banque Alimentaire 06. This civic action illustrates the city of Nice’s commitment to combating poverty.

This Tuesday morning, the AnimaNice Bon Voyage center hosted a symbolic and deeply supportive event: the official handover of donations collected in the city’s 18 AnimaNice centers for the Banque Alimentaire des Alpes-Maritimes. In the presence of many local figures, this ceremony marked the end of a month of cultural and civic activities serving the underprivileged.

Since March 1st, the AnimaNice centers have organized around forty performances, concerts, plays, and various workshops. The unique aspect of these events? The admission price was not a ticket but four food or hygiene products. An initiative that highlights culture while reinforcing local solidarity.

Aim for a Record Collection

This project, launched in 2016, perfectly embodies the values of proximity and civic engagement championed by the City of Nice.

Last year, more than five tons of goods were collected, equating to 10,000 meals distributed. In 2025, organizers hope to surpass this record with an even broader mobilization. All donations will be given to the Banque Alimentaire 06, which will then redistribute them to associations working daily in the field.

Providing access to culture while fighting against food insecurity is the essence of our commitment. It’s an inclusive approach where every donation counts, and where culture becomes a driver of social justice.
