Her real name is Annalisa Pompeo, but her stage name is Annalyse. She is not yet 20 years old, but she has more than a note in her voice. It was in Sanremo that our attention was drawn to this charming Roman with a dynamic timbre. She writes her own songs and has accompanied herself on guitar since her childhood. Singing? She knows how to do it, and what’s more, in English. Yes, she is an Italian who sings in English, and that adds charm to her music.
Without shyness, Annalyse confides in Nice Première over a good glass of sparkling water.
Nice-Première: What do you think of the Sanremo Festival?
This musical event is very interesting without a doubt!
NP: What do you hope for from this Festival?
I hope to come to Sanremo as a guest. That would really be superb.
For now, Sanremo is actually just the first step to realizing my goals.
NP: Speaking of your goals, what are they?
I am targeting Europe. I would like to tour in France, England, and Germany, but also in other European countries.
At the moment, my goal is to promote my album titled “Fragments of Life.” This album will be released around mid-March 2006.
NP: You are Italian but have chosen to sing in English. Why this choice?
I think that English is a language that a large number of people understand. Thus, my songs will have more chance of being understood.
NP: You have chosen a musical career. Why did you decide to enter the world of music?
Music is life, and oxygen! It is what I drink and what I eat. Everything around me is music. Having been born into a family of musicians, I have always carried music in my heart. And I will always carry it within me!
NP: What do you think of Nice?
I have never been there but I would very much like to visit. I have only seen pictures and I am convinced that it is a fantastic city.
NP: What would you like to say to the readers of Nice Première?
