Latest News

Anne Satonnet, Vice President of the County Council, invited the residents of Vence to meet her to convey her wishes to the city and discuss the latest ongoing political matters.

She was accompanied on this occasion by the President of the Alpes Maritimes Department, Charles Anges Ginesy, and ร‰ric Ciotti, the deputy of the 1st constituency, who is also the President of the CD Finance Committee.

This time, it was not about politics, but rather a celebration. The entry into the new year 2018.

A year which remains, according to the local councilor, in the wake of late 2017.

She wanted to acknowledge the municipal majority, of which she is a part, for doing “a very beautiful job.” She named them one by one, to a round of applause.

Anne Satonnet went on to reflect on the achievements of recent months, notably her fight for the rights of people with disabilities. A strong determination to continue advocating for their rights.

Rights that are still far from being secured. A fight she leads alongside Eric Ciotti.

A deputy who also thanked his supporters before stating that he is “always sensitive to issues affecting the community.”

A President of the Finance Committee who is vigilant about public money, “managed responsibly,” since money does not “fall from the sky.”

According to the deputy, it is “the result of the work of businesses, traders, and artisans who constitute the wealth of the territory.”

He has made significant and regular efforts to reduce the costs of the community (communication, hospitality, and protocol expenses).

A proactive policy of controlling the payroll by reducing the number of civil servants, increasing the working hours of departmental agents, and reorganizing them.

A reform that opens up maneuvering room without compromising the quality of public service on a daily basis.

A social fraud prevention plan is also implemented at the same time that the deputy assures continuation.

Efforts that are bearing fruit. In 2018, they will continue. The department’s debt will be reduced again by 15 million. A figure that brings the total to over 180 million in 4 years.

All of this without increasing local taxes.

Deputy Eric Ciotti then spoke about terrorism and the commitment of the armed forces. A sensitive issue. He subsequently handed the floor to his new Department President, Charles Anges Ginesy.

He continued in the vein of previous speeches. He too praised his actions.
