Founded in 1968 after the Six-Day War, the Unified Jewish Appeal of France ( [https://www.aujf.org/index.php](https://www.aujf.org/index.php)) operates within an associative framework and aims to collect donations. It is the only French organization officially authorized by Israel (Knesset law dated February 3, 1956, on the Keren Hayessod) to collect donations for the benefit of aliyah. To achieve their goals, AUJF activists continuously engage in meetings with donors, phone call campaigns, events, conferences, themed dinners, and solidarity trips to Israel throughout the year. This enables them to finance the arrival and integration of new immigrants, help distressed communities, create a fund for the residents of Southern Israel, and support the underprivileged through social and educational programs.
It is within this framework that they are organizing their annual solidarity Gala on Saturday, January 23, at 8:30 PM at the Palais de la Méditerranée, with Mr. Yehuda Lancry, former Ambassador of Israel to France, as the guest of honor. The event will feature a musical performance by the Grand Orchestra Cyriel followed by a charity sale with local artists.
