The prefect of Alpes-Maritimes, Bernard Gonzalez, issued a new order this Friday, October 15, prohibiting “demonstrating on public roads.”
According to this order, demonstrations as well as gatherings are banned on Avenue Jean-Médecin, as well as in the area bounded by Boulevard Jean-Jaurès, Rue Cassini, the Promenade des Anglais – Quai des États-Unis, and Avenue Max Gallo.
The question remains whether and how increasingly radicalized protesters will be willing to comply with it. “Protestitis” has become an endemic disease!
