A man was struck by a train and died this afternoon at the Antibes station. Traffic is interrupted.
Around 4:45 PM, a man whose age is still unknown was “struck” by a train at Antibes station, according to the SDIS (Fire and Rescue Service). The circumstances of the accident are unclear.
The emergency services arrived shortly after. On site, 16 firefighters and six vehicles were deployed. The death of the victim was confirmed at 5:10 PM.
Traffic interrupted
Traffic between Nice and Cannes was immediately interrupted. According to ZOU! Sud Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur, it was expected to resume at 6:50 PM. The resumption is now delayed to 8 PM. “Delays and cancellations are to be expected,” the transportation company specified on X at 6:05 PM.
