The 34th edition of Run for a Flower is taking place this Sunday, October 6th, with nearly 4,300 runners set to start from the Pinède Gould for a 9.370 km route or a 21.1 km route (half-marathon course certified by the French Athletics Federation) around Cap d’Antibes.
Created by the initiative of the City’s Sports Department and Carrefour Antibes in 1979, the first edition had 350 competitors connecting Lingostière to the Antibes town hall. Today, there are more than 4,300 participants.
No change of course for this 35th edition, with a route that still lies largely along the seaside, with a choice of a 9.370 km or a 21.100 km distance.
Sunday runners, seasoned amateurs coming with family, or alone, you will be welcome at the Pinède Gould. Different distances are offered for younger participants based on their ages.
At this time of year, when temperatures remain pleasant and the Mediterranean is still inviting to all, by taking the long avenues, among the umbrella pines, runners can catch glimpses of the sumptuous residences of Cap d’Antibes that have made the legend of this place, now a true jewel in the heart of the French Riviera.
As tradition dictates, each runner will receive a rose upon arrival.
A historical partner of the race, Carrefour Antibes will ensure the supply for all runners.
Sunday runner, seasoned amateur coming with family, or alone: everyone will be welcome to complete their choice of either 9.670 km or 21.1 km for the adult races. The distances for the younger participants are adapted to their age.
Everyone can also support the action of the France Cancer 06 association by bringing corks when collecting their race number.
