The “Village of Science and Innovation,” organized for the first time at the Palais des Congrรจs in Antibes Juan-les-Pins in 2015, was a true success. More than 4,500 visitors were able to appreciate the expertise and know-how of Sophia Antipolis, located at the heart of our agglomeration.
In the same spirit, the “Village of Science and Innovation” will be held again this year during this weekend, focusing on themes such as digital technology, the environment and health, training, risk management, and sustainable development.
Educational and research organizations, associations, startups, and large companies have allowed a broad audience to discover the latest innovations and the uses of tomorrow in a friendly atmosphere where every participant was driven by the pleasure of explaining, demonstrating, involving others, and enabling the widest possible audience to better grasp the scope and benefits of various sciences and thus inspire vocations among the younger ones.
The “Village Square” will host exciting conferences, and the booths will offer activities, experiences, and games.
For young audiences, a specific “kids” path will be offered. Its aim is to share the passion that scientists have for their work: engineers, technicians, researchers, or startup founders will be available to engage enthusiastically with young people about their field of activity and possibly inspire vocations.
Robots, drones, and the game of Hex are among the activities that will allow participants to discover various fun ways to engage with science.
