From September 6 to 27 at the Antibes Cathedral and Saint-Bernardin Church, experience the great works of the repertoire, chamber music, sacred voices…

The program for this edition promises to be very comprehensive, with highlights such as the visit of the choir from New College Oxford and the performance of Bach’s St. John Passion.

The 22nd Antibes Sacred Art Festival offers great works of the repertoire with chamber music or sacred voices. Among the highlights are the visit of the choir from New College Oxford, one of the world’s greatest choirs, and the performance of Bach’s St. John Passion, a magnificent masterpiece.

These concerts take place at the Cathedral or the Chapel of Saint-Bernardin. In addition, ceremonies will duly celebrate the 500th anniversary of the construction of this Saint-Bernardin Chapel.

Sunday, September 8 at 5:30 PM – Église Sainte-Anne Saint Martin de Vallauris.

“Sonatas by Rossini,” with Philippe Depétris (flute), Stéphane Rullière (violin), Daniel Dato (alto), and Eric Courrèges (cello).

Friday, September 13 at 9 PM, Antibes Cathedral. Bach’s “St. John Passion” with the PACA Regional Orchestra, “Musiques en Jeux” Choirs, the Festival Choirs, and the Ensemble of the Ancient Music Society.

Saturday, September 21 at 9 PM, Antibes Cathedral. “The Prestigious Ages of Polyphonic Choral Music” with the Choir of New College Oxford, conducted by Edward Higginbottom.

Friday, September 27 at 9 PM, Chapel of St-Bernardin. “From Chapels to Palaces,” Splendors of Renaissance music in the courts of 16th-century Europe with the ensemble “Les Voix Animées.”

Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, “The 500 Years of the Chapel St-Bernardin” organized by the parish of St-Armentaire with the support of the “Friends of the Chapel St-Bernardin” association.

Saturday, September 28 at 6 PM, procession to the cathedral with the Académie Provençale de Cannes. Solemn Mass at the cathedral sung by “Corou de Berra” with sacred songs.

Sunday, September 29 at 6 PM, departure of the Pénitent procession from the cathedral. At 6:30 PM, solemn mass celebrated by Bishop Louis Sankale, bishop of Nice, with the participation of the Sacco Company.
