From today until Sunday, June 11, the French University Sailing Match Racing Championship will take place in Antibes.

This event will allow about ten crews from all over France (Toulon, Nice, Marseille, Rennes, Nantes, and Rouen, among others) to compete for the national title.

This year, there will be about ten teams, each consisting of 4 members per team (5 for the women’s teams). Among the participants are several well-known names: Thomas Badri from the University of Nice (with several French championships under his belt), as well as Élodie Bonafous (3rd in 2016, in the women’s competition); Margot Riou (AS Nantes) the “current vice-champion of France” on board, and also Jérémy Jean…

Several newcomers are also participating in the competition. We think of Manon Praud from the University of Toulon; Mathieu Firmian from the AS “Voiles de Kedge” at Aix-Marseille University…

The competition will start on Friday around 10:30 AM near the Creps of Antibes.

The competition will end on Sunday evening, around 5:30 PM, with the presentation of the final awards.
