During a recent local radio show on football, OGC Nice’s coach, Frédéric Antonetti, pointed out that the questions from the listeners were very pointed, if not almost chosen, as it was clear that the first inquiries from FM and OGC Nice fans were not just compliments towards him and his work.
From this show, it was the contrasting opinions that each party made known via the press and their respective websites. However, the main issue was indeed the interview and how each party understood it.
On one side, a radio station that allowed listeners to react (after asking them about their first name and the topic of their call). On the other, a coach sometimes stunned by the comment “I really miss Gernot Rohr” made by the first listener, a long-time fan of Gym’.
Thus, the chemistry did not occur with the next two listeners who, to say the least, did not seem to greatly appreciate the new conductor of the red and black team.
The rest you followed in your nice-morning columns or at the official club forum with the intervention of the French Sports Journalists Union which criticized OGC Nice via the press while it seemed that the incident had been settled by the Club President, Mr. Maurice Cohen.
In short, all this to say that an interview remains just an interview…
But an interview does not always go as planned and regularly one must manage the unforeseen which, obviously, had not been considered. An interview is the meeting of at least two people who must deal with their moods and temperaments of the moment…or their origins.
An interview is a moment, a talk that can remain light or even frivolous but which sometimes can turn into a moment difficult to live through and manage.
In brief, here is Frédéric Antonetti in two versions of interviews to show you that what I am allowed to tell you is not far from the truth, it’s up to you to judge.
