After a thorough review of many applications, Christian Estrosi has appointed Jérôme Marcenac as the new Director of the Municipal Police of Nice. He is expected to take office during the month of October.
The Mayor places his full trust in the new Director to lead the Municipal Police and its 550 active officers. Having pursued a career in the Air Force, Jérôme Marcenac later joined the National Police in 2020. He held the position of commissioner before joining the Public Security Headquarters. He then moved to Lyon as the Head of Urban Security and the National Police.
With this prestigious background, the new Director at the helm of the Municipal Police is more than qualified for this position. According to Ipsos, no less than 77% of the residents of Nice have a good image of the Municipal Police. According to the Mayor, Jérôme Marcenac will be able to provide the necessary momentum.
