“Art for Philippines”: a call for solidarity

Latest News

On November 8, 2013, Typhoon Haylan hit the Philippines. It was a total disaster: human and economic. A devastated region where everything needs to be rebuilt. At the initiative of gallery owner Daniel Boeri, a concert and auction are being organized in favor of the Philippines. His Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Her Royal Highness Princess of Hanover kindly agreed to each lend their patronage.

Once again, the artists of Monaco have initiated a movement of solidarity. With the help of social networks, the movement has grown. In addition to the forty artists who donated a piece, “Les Solistes de Monte Carlo”, the musicians of the Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Jean-Louis Dedieu, as well as Matthieu Peyregne, joined in.

The contribution of each individual adds a piece to this immense reconstruction effort. The funds raised will be donated to Amade Mondiale, which will oversee their use.

Three years ago, an auction organized under similar conditions contributed to the “Monaco Haiti” collective. Today, the Albert II school exists and operates there.
