This fireworks display will be the first on the Promenade des Anglais since the attack on July 14, 2016. It will be launched from the sea to ensure optimal safety conditions.
In addition to the fireworks on the Promenade des Anglais, festivities related to the International Folklore Festival “La Farandole” on the Promenade du Paillon, and the traditional gathering for the Feast of the Assumption at the Port, will also take place.
Program:
6:00 PM: Gathering in front of the Port church for the Feast of the Assumption to celebrate the Virgin Mary, patron saint of sailors.
Procession to the Entrecasteaux quay, blessing and parade of traditional boats, mass
6:00 PM: Folklore Parade on the Promenade du Paillon with all folklore groups from the 2018 Folklore Festival
Procession from Place de la Bourgada to the Arc de Venet
7:00 PM: Folklore Show at the Albert I Garden and Yitzhak Rabin Square
With all folklore groups from the 2018 Folklore Festival
10:00 PM: Fireworks display at sea opposite the Quai des Etats-Unis, in front of the Opera House
