Organized in the heart of the Ironman Nice, which celebrated the record achievements of its 2 winners yesterday (Frédérik VAN LIERDE in 8:21:51 and Tine DECKERS in 09:16:05), the Iron Girl Nice also broke all its records for this 2nd edition!
Record number of participants, as 547 Iron Girls (430 in 2011) started the race yesterday morning at 9:00 a.m. on the Promenade des Anglais!
The course record was also broken by the 2012 French Champion triathlete, Jeanne Collonge, who completed the 5 km in 00:17:39.
The podium was completed by Agathe Semichon in 00:17:44 and Leila Chaieb in 00:18:42.
Finally, and most importantly, the record participation allows us to donate 1094 euros to the INDIGO association*, whose representative Anne Deville participated in the race yesterday and finished in 00:35:42.
*2 euros per registration are donated to the INDIGO association, which aims to improve the quality of life and quality of care for children treated in the hemato-oncology department of the Archet Hospital and the Lenval Foundation.
