This Friday, we went to the Saint Roch market to meet the farmers who work there. We asked them about their work as well as the fruits, vegetables, fish, and flowers they sell every day.
We arrived at the market around 9:30 AM and there were already many people shopping for their midday meal. The market vendors explained to us what their work entails. We also visited the fishmonger’s stand where he showed us how to clean a fish. A very friendly baker also offered us some breadsticks.
What was magnificent on these stalls was the multitude of colors of the fresh fruits and vegetables beautifully displayed. We saw that strawberries have finally returned to the market. Besides fruits and vegetables, there were also beautiful flowers at the stand of the smiling florist.
We made some amazing discoveries at this market and it really made us want to return very soon.
