In 1970, Jimi Hendrix passed away in London at the age of 27.

To honor the memory of one of the most important musicians of the 20th century, the trailblazer, the door-opener, the psychedelic gypsy, the inspiration to countless musicians from Miles Davis to Sly Stone, a group of top-level jazz musicians from the French Riviera reunited under the name The Jimi Brown New Experience.
They paid tribute to him on October 9th of last year by performing his repertoire in a jazz rock fusion spirit tinged with incendiary funk, also invoking the spirits of James Brown.

Though this group had performed before, this 40th anniversary gave them the opportunity to exceed themselves even more, thanks to the musicians that make it up: Frédéric D’Oelsnitz (electric piano, trumpet, musical direction, former member of Magma and Christian Vander Trio), Selim Nini and Sébastien Chaumont (saxophones), Tahine (trombone), Jonathan Gritella (guitar), Fabrice Bistoni (Fender bass), and Laurent Sarrien (drums). This group is truly incendiary, and the concert was a great success. Thus, due to the enthusiasm sparked, another performance was decided, and we will again relive this extraordinary “Experience.”
