Come discover or rediscover this prestigious collection of Singular Art, which brings together the works of more than 75 artists who are among the most representative of this art form, such as Raymond Reynaud, Danielle Jacqui, or the late Jean-Joseph Sanfourche.
These artists prioritize substance over form, ideas over style, and meaning over grammatical structure. They do not adhere to a principle but instead propose truths that are their own, where the scars of everyday life have left their marks.
Anatole Jakovsky had close ties with outsider and singular art. Already, two Totems by Gaston Chaissac, a large drawing, and manuscripts that belonged to Anatole are part of the collections of the Musรฉe du Chรขteau Sainte-Hรฉlรจne. Since then, through acquisitions and exhibitions, the museum is committed to defending this form of art and highlighting the connections between Singular Art and Contemporary Art.
This exhibition is also an opportunity to discover the museum’s latest acquisitions, including a very original “House” by Auguste Forestier or a very large piece by Robert Tatin.
