On this occasion, a lecture by Brother Benoît Pekle o.p. at 6 PM, on the work of Norbert Hillaire whose artistic practice is an extension of his theoretical research as a university professor on old and new media in art.
His “Photomobiles” are created with an iPhone 4 mobile phone and are composed in triptychs or diptychs. Sometimes enhanced with gold, they evoke the relationships between the sacred and the profane, the theories of perspective stemming from the Renaissance, and the connections between photography, painting, and cinema.
