The program includes a talk by Franco Rosso in Italian, with consecutive interpretation, a musical interlude on classical guitar by Maestro Ennio Guerrato, and an aperitif served in the consulate’s lounges.

The works of eighteen of the most important artists from Trieste will be on display until March 17.

Corrado Alzetta, Franca Batich, Gabry Benci, Patrizia Bigarella, Ennio Cervi, Enea Chersicola, Fabio Fonda, Monica Kirchmayer, Mauro Martoriati, Claudia Raza, Franco Rosso, Caroll Rosso Cicogna, Alessandra Rossi, Federico Sciuca, Tullio Sila, Franco Vecchiet, Carmelo Vranich.

This exhibition is part of a shared experience between Trieste and Nice, cosmopolitan border cities. At the beginning of the last century, in Trieste, a large majority of the population was of Italian language and culture, living alongside a significant Slovene minority and a considerable minority of German language and culture. Other national communities, notably Greek and Serbian, also played a decisive role in the growth of the city, not to mention the Jewish community, which built the largest synagogue in Europe there.

Exhibition duration: March 3 to 17, 2017 โ€“ Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM.
