The City of Nice’s Energy Info Space offers the general public an exhibition on the theme of construction and wood energy, “Reflexโ Bois.” This exhibition runs from April 16 to July 26, 2013, at the House of the Environment. As part of this exhibition, the Energy Info Space has implemented several awareness actions through various activities aimed at informing the public about the benefits of wood construction and energy in relation to the new thermal regulation 2012.
The “Reflexโ Bois” exhibition is presented in the form of 8 educational totems covering different themes: the wood industry, wood construction, wood as an insulator and its fire resistance, wood, and bioclimatism. With a reservation, it is possible to enjoy a guided tour by an Energy Info consultant from Nice. Likewise, activities for children are also offered.
This Friday, June 14 at 6:30 PM, a conference on the theme of the wood industry will be held at the House of the Environment. This presentation will inform the public about the wood industry and the actions taken to develop it in the Alpes-Maritimes. It will be led by the Association of Forest Municipalities (COFOR) and the Energy Info Space of the City of Nice.
On Saturday, June 29, at 10 AM, the Energy Info Space is organizing a site visit to a BBC (Low Consumption Building) certified wood frame house. This home is equipped with a green roof, a Provenรงal well connected to a double flow ventilation system, and a rainwater harvesting tank.
