From the Royal Albert Hall in London to Carnegie Hall in New York, including Rio de Janeiro, the show produced by the Nice-native Gil Marsalla, featuring the marvelous voice of Anne Carrere to revive the Little Sparrow, has consistently sold out and attracted over a million spectators worldwide.

To ensure the legend continues, Gil Marsalla has conceived Piaf Symphonique. This time, the aim is to rekindle the aura of the performer of La Vie en Rose in harmony with a classical orchestra.

Anne Carrere is, of course, the headliner of this show, accompanied by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by its musical director Gyรถrgy G. Rรกth, with the world premiere taking place this Friday at 8 PM on the stage of the Nice Opera House.

To rearrange the songs with different harmonies, a Japanese musician, Nobuyuki Nakajima, was enlisted. Nakajima is the arranger of the album Gainsbourg Symphonique recorded by Jane Birkin.

And since the accordion is inseparable from the universe of ร‰dith Piaf, accordionist Guy Giuliano will be playing his notes during the show. Whether popular or classical, music is always great when it aspires to be the universal language that connects us all…
