We thought he was going to take a sabbatical year, but not at all. He comes back even stronger and on all fronts.

On RTL since September 1st, he hosts a completely mind-blowing morning segment titled “Un doigt sur l’actu” and on stage, he’s gone even further. Has the character of Lucky Luke, who shoots, as Péroni would say “shoots”, faster than his shadow, rubbed off so much on our comedian-imitator who is going to shoot again? After “Laurent Gerra shoots up TV”, “Laurent Gerra shoots up TV and Politics”, now “Laurent Gerra shoots up in Music” all of these folks and he’s added sound effects to it!

And it’s going to go “Bang bang!” with the Grand Orchestre de Fred Manoukian Big Band, composed of about twenty musicians, also a little to butter up this little TV world that he first enjoys dousing in vitriol.

For his new show and for over two hours, Laurent offers us a lineup of personalities as famous as each other: from singers to politicians, including TV presenters, all in music!!!!
The whole show “Laurent Gerra Shoots up TV” is revamped into “Laurent Gerra Shoots up in Music”, in the tradition of the great Music Hall shows that have always made him dream; orchestration and jazzy arrangements that give new life to his voice.
Of course, he revisits the great moments of “Shoots up TV” where he scrutinizes 50 years of television history, from Pierre Bellemare to Thierry Ardisson with sketches that have become classics: Céline Dion, Johnny Hallyday, Léon Zitrone.

The major, musical part of the show is new, with new voices, Georges Brassens, Bernard Lavilliers…; transports us back in time with an emotional medley of Henri Salvador, from his jolly period to his crooner period; the large brass, percussion, pianist ensemble accompanies an astonishing duo of Serge Gainsbourg/Eddy Mitchell on “vieille canaille”.

The national tour, which should end by the end of this year 2008, and in Paris passes through our department, stopping at the La Palestre hall in Le Cannet on October 18. Needless to say, you’re going to hear a lot because if Laurent Gerra shoots up in music it’s never with a silencer…
