Auren sings “Double Vie”. Aurรฉlie, aka Auren, has wanted only one life for a few months now: that of a singer. Her new life began Thursday evening, Rue de La Tour, in the small and friendly Thรฉรขtre de lโImpasse in Old Nice. The few spectators and the singer will remember this cold November evening when the people of Nice preferred to stay warm at home or in bars to consume Beaujolais. The Beaujolais nouveau 2007 is a classic vintage, with suppleness and elegance, a lot of fruit on the palate, and raspberry aromas. Auren, 2007, is a sweet vintage with elegance, melody, and aromas of Linda Lemay, Vรฉronique Sanson.
Auren always carries a small notebook with her, and has since childhood. It’s her intimate diary of sorts. She has managed to turn her confidences into song. Heartaches and romantic suffering, couple disagreements, moments from her daily Parisian life. The words are precise and the melodies catchy. Her adaptations of Georges Brassensโ โGare aux Gorillesโ and her rendition of โLe plus fort, cโest mon pรจreโ by Linda Lemay are appreciated. At the start of the concert, there was a fear of empty seats. In the end, it created an intimate aspect that suited the singer’s repertoire, the little protรฉgรฉ of Michaรซl Jones. The piano-voice songs were all the more delightful.
Familiar with opening for Michaรซl Jones, Auren sang her full repertoire for the first time. For the first time, she stayed on stage for 1.5 hours. “I was tense. It wasn’t easy. But I come out of it happy. Everything went very well, and I feel ready to perform concerts every night!” We wish her well. She has nothing to envy from some artists who fill 5,000-seat venues. Auren has no less talent. She only lacks promotion and media recognition. Nice Premium provides her with one of her first. And we are proud of it.
