The award ceremony for the Nissart laureates is an event aimed at rewarding the best students from each institution where the regional language is taught, which this year includes 21 students from middle and high schools in the Alpes-Maritimes. The prize also honors candidates who achieved the highest scores in optional Nissart examinations (oral or written) for the baccalaureate, totaling 26 candidates. In the 2011 baccalaureate session, 332 candidates participated in the regional language exams.

This event is the result of a partnership between the City of Nice, the Academy of Nice, and the Niรงoise cultural associations “Lโ€™Escรฒla de Bellanda” and the Federation of Associations of the County of Nice.

The award ceremony will take place at a symbolically significant location: the Bellanda Tower, which watches over Old Nice from Castle Hill.
