Franรงoise Monier, Deputy Delegate for Early Childhood, will officially award the Family Medal on Monday, June 4th at 4:00 PM.
This honorary distinction, organized in collaboration with the U.D.A.F (Departmental Union of Family Associations), is reserved for individuals who are raising (or have raised) many children and aims to honor their merit and express the nation’s gratitude.
Each year, the awarding of this medal is organized on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
To be considered, families must meet the following conditions:
– Reside in Nice and possess French nationality;
– Have raised four or five children for the Bronze Medal, six or seven children for the Silver Medal, and eight or more children for the Gold Medal.
The bronze medal is also awarded to war widows who have raised at least three children on their own.
This year, only one family will be honored: it is the family of Mrs. Danielle Chalais, who has had four children.
