Eric Ciotti, Deputy and President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, attended the award ceremony for the MAIF prize at Port Lympia Middle School yesterday. The prize was awarded for the actions of the “Montagne Club Vésubien” association benefiting visually impaired students of Port Lympia Middle School.

Promoting mixed sports practices

The association instills values of respect, understanding others, and accepting differences, with the goal of developing mixed sports practices that involve both able-bodied young people and young people with disabilities.

A rewarded initiative

The awareness-raising action carried out by the “Montagne Club Vésubien” at Port Lympia Middle School, where visually impaired children are enrolled, was recognized and commended by the insurance company MAIF, which decided to award it their regional prize in the “education” category.
