For this 2020 edition, sponsored by the writer Jean Siccardi, the jurors chose Yannick Grannec for her novel “Les simples” published by Anne Carrière.
Created in 2013 by the Alpes-Maritimes Department, the Prix Livre Azur is a literary prize that honors writers from the Alpes-Maritimes or whose novels are set in the department. It also aims to promote sharing around books and reading through a popular jury made up of passionate readers from the Alpes-Maritimes.
Reading committees are organized throughout the Alpes-Maritimes territory to allow participation from all passionate readers in the department.
15 libraries participated, as well as 4 Department Houses (Nice Centre, Nice Nord, Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, and Saint-Martin-Vésubie) and the libraries of Breil-sur-Roya, Caille (Community of Agglomeration of Pays de Grasse) grouping several libraries (Saint-Auban, Valderoure, Thorenc), Colomars, Gattières, Pégomas, Puget-Théniers, Saint-Martin-Vésubie, Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, Sospel, the intercommunal media libraries of the SIVOM of Villefranche-sur-Mer, Cap d’Ail site.
The organization of the Prize is ensured by the Departmental Media Library, in connection with the libraries of the departmental network and the Department Houses, which host the members of the jury.
