On Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Citadel of Villefranche Sur Mer, starting at 7:00 PM, the CROS is organizing a special awards evening that will present the Ethics and Fair-Play Awards recognizing a significant act of sports ethics, CROS medals honoring volunteers who have served for 20 years or more in the service of Azur sports, an exceptional award, and the diplomas of the Certificate of Training in Associative Management.
On this occasion, the President of the CROS Cรดte dโAzur, Mr. Alain KOUBI, will present the New Yearโs wishes of the Regional Olympic Committee to the sports community of the Cรดte dโAzur.
Present at this ceremony will be:
– Mr. Gรฉrard GROSGOGEAT, Mayor of the City of Villefranche Sur Mer, Vice President of Nice Cรดte dโAzur, Deputy of Alpes Maritimes
– Mr. MORATO Jean-Pierre (Chairman of the Ethics and Fair-Play Commission of the CROS) who will be the coordinator of the evening.
– 40 Presidents of Leagues and Regional Committees affiliated with the CROS Cรดte dโAzur
– All Awardees (CROS medals, Ethics Award, Exceptional Award, CFGA Graduates)
– Members of the Municipal Council of the City of Villefranche sur Mer (Mr. Jean-Pierre MANGIAPAN, First Deputy; Mr. Pascal HERNANDEZ, 3rd Deputy Mayor delegated to Sports).
At the end of this beautiful ceremony, each President of League and Regional Committee will receive 150 posters produced by the CROS Ethics and Fair Play Commission as part of an awareness campaign.
The Certificate of Training in Associative Management (Class of 2010)
This year, the CROS Cรดte dโAzur honors the first leaders who completed the training for the Certificate of Training in Associative Management (Training approved by the Ministry of Sports).

The Ethics and Fair-Play Awards (Class of 2010)
Why an Ethics Award?
Ethics is that part of philosophy dealing with moral principles or the science of manners. Sport is a physical activity conducted in a playful manner for humanistic purposes and thus education.
The CROS Cรดte dโAzur Ethics Award honors those who have put these concepts into practice, worked to promote them, or performed a significant act of sports ethics during the year 2010.
This award concerns participants, of course, but also leaders, coaches, referees, or associations for their actions in favor of sports ethics.
