Azur sports celebrate the new year and present awards to athletes and leaders.

The traditional New Year’s greeting evening will take place tonight at the La Strada Cinema at 7 PM in Mouans-Sartoux.

It will also be an opportunity to honor those who have contributed throughout the year to the flourishing of the associative world in the azure region, through: the Ethics and Fair Play Award, the CROS medals; the Young Volunteers Trophies, the Passion Sport trophies, and the Exceptional Awards.

Many personalities, elected officials, and leaders of the sports movement will be present alongside, of course, the recipients.

The year 2015 promises to be a pivotal year with the territorial reform.

What will be the place allocated to the sports movement and its financing in this new reorganization, given that the general competence clause has just been abolished again?

Many questions for a year that has just begun.

But, as President Pierre Cambreal, who returned to business after Alain Koubi resigned for personal reasons, rightly says, “an athlete never gives up, so I remain confident about the future and wish all the sports associations of the azure region a very happy 2015.”
