Each year, the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas is the global benchmark event in the digital field. It is “The place to be”!
It brings together more than 4,000 exhibitors and over 180,000 visitors from 150 countries. There are 20,000 innovations from around the world showcased, and this year, 30 start-ups are participating, accompanied by the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur region, with 5 carrying the Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte d’Azur label.
Some of them have developed particularly innovative solutions in connected health, social interaction, or artificial intelligence.
It will be an opportunity for them to promote their creations and effectively conquer new markets. In 2020, start-ups will be one of the main drivers of job creation in France.
This major exhibition also serves as a tremendous accelerator for the promotion and attractiveness of the metropolitan area and its new brand “Nice Cรดte d’Azur: Open New Horizons”.
Here are the five start-ups that the Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte d’Azur is presenting at CES Las Vegas 2020:
MATRIX/ BODYO
Founded by Patrice Coutard, this start-up newly established in the Mรฉtropole Nice Cรดte d’Azur, works on connected health and offers a free monitoring service for vital signs through a smart capsule connected to a platform providing its services and mobile applications, aimed at Wellbeing enthusiasts as well as healthcare professionals. Matrix is already working with several professors from Nice and the Nice University Hospital (CHU).
VOLUMIC 3D
Created in 2014 by Stรฉphane Malaussena and Gรฉrard Luppino, the company, which already participated in CES 2019, has developed a new generation of professional 3D printers, the fastest and most accurate on the market, compatible with over 50 innovative materials. Volumic employs 12 people in Nice and counts among its clients Nice Airport, INRA, Virbac, SNCF, the Ministry of the Armed Forces, Engie, etc. The start-up has also received two awards from CES in the categories “3D printing” and “Sustainability/Eco-Design/Smart Energy”.
NODEUS (FANTASTIC SOURCING)
Created in 2004 by James Nicolaรฏ, this company is an expert in the sourcing of electronic components. Fantastic Sourcing has recently developed a device composed of sensors and an application, allowing a group of referees to monitor an isolated person.
SENSORIA ANALYTICS
Sensoria Analytics is a young startup founded in 2017 by Slaheddine Aridhi, with the mission to develop innovative solutions in the connected health field by leveraging advances in optics, electronics, and electromechanics, as well as artificial intelligence.
TIME NโJOY
The company was created in 2017 by a team of four people including Axel Hutin as CEO. It offers users, through its website, mobile application, or Facebook Messenger, all opportunities for events or outings presented by companies or organizers. Advertisers can directly and freely list their events on the platform dedicated to event professionals: My Time NโJoy.
