The music of Babason is at the crossroads of Afro-Cuban roots and contemporary music. The three members of the group, Laurent, Yann, and Tahina, bring an energetic flair to their compositions. They sing in French, Spanish, and Afro-Cuban dialect and navigate between salsa, reggaeton, ragga, merengue, electro jazz… A generous and powerful rhythm combined with energetic vocals tinged with Cuban influence forms the chemistry of this essential group on the French scene.
Babason will represent the Nuits du Sud. Having become an essential event in the Azurean landscape, the success of this festival is based on a program combining diversity, discoveries, musical quality, and pricing accessible to all.
