The Niss’Angels secured their second EuroCup victory in front of their home crowd last night. They overcame the Italians from Venice with a score of 57-52.
Two home games and two victories for Cavigal Nice Basket. This was achieved thanks to Victoria Macaulay, the top scorer of the game with 24 points and 6 rebounds. She was well supported by her captain, Romy Bar, who contributed 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists.
After trailing by nine points in the first quarter, the team from the Azure Coast progressively gained momentum throughout the match. They finished the game with a 55% shooting success rate, capitalizing on the Italians’ struggles from the free-throw line (11/18 for Venice).
Thanks to this victory, Cavigal has five points after three EuroCup games. For the moment, they are co-leaders of Group G alongside their opponents from last night.
Now the players are focused on their Saturday match against Villeneuve D’Ascq for the 7th day of the Women’s League.
