During this international break, nobody expected a new signing, yet the Sharks Antibes are about to sign Ali Traoré. The French international arrives on the Côte d’Azur as a medical replacement.
For a surprise, it’s a successful one. It’s not Christmas yet, except on the other side of the Atlantic where Thanksgiving is celebrated, but the Sharks Antibes are treating themselves to a nice gift. Standing at 2.06 meters, 32 years old, and with 56 caps, the people of Antibes will get to know Ali Traoré.
Eighth French Experience
The French international is discovering his eighth club on the continent. After a few weeks’ stint in Lebanon, the man known as Bomaye arrives on the French Riviera to quickly replace Jonathan Tornato, who is suffering from a groin strain, according to the club’s statement. The duration of the medical stint has not been specified.
Average of 10 points and 5 rebounds
It is noteworthy that during his recent experiences on French soil, the 32-year-old center averaged 13.6 points per game in Alsace and close to 10 points in Limoges, along with about 5 rebounds. He will form a fine pairing with Mouphatou Yarou, who arrived this summer, in the center position, complementing the indispensable Tim Blue in the power forward position.
