While it was thought that the Niss’Angels had done the hardest part by winning in Nantes on Tuesday, a new cold shower brought the Niçoises back to earth: Nantes lived up to their name, the Déferlantes, last night at Leyrit by causing an upset with a score that leaves no doubt about their superiority: 80-65!
The Nantes team had control of the game from start to finish, as the sequence of scores for the four quarters clearly indicates: 21-23, 6-12, 16-24, 22-21.
The difference mainly came from the contribution of the bench: 3 points for the Niçoises against 20 for the Nantes team.
The Niçoises will have the opportunity to redeem themselves this Saturday evening, still at Leyrit at 8 PM, for the third game: for the winners, it will be the finals, and the losers can go on vacation.
