The battle for employment must be fought on all fronts. While it is not within its purview to create or prevent the destruction of jobs, Pôle Emploi is the agency that must manage active policies to bring supply and demand closer together.
A complex battle, requiring enormous operational capacity, analytical skills, knowledge of needs—in short, a level of professionalism that is not always found in the bureaucratic structures of the agency and its agents.
“To know in order to decide” is an old saying that has not lost its relevance. To which we should add “to understand.”
Hence the first step: companies, which are the key element (along with university, professional, and “lifelong” training) of an active policy.
Objective: a positive and qualitative response to their recruitment needs through the mobilization of professionalization and integration resources to promote the security of the career paths of future employees.
Operational above all, it innovates and establishes work and organization foundations through field actions, close to the territory and needs.
In this perspective and in order to continue and strengthen this partnership dynamic in the service of employment, Madam Ghislaine ELLENA as Territorial Director of Pôle Emploi in Alpes-Maritimes, Monsieur Thierry LEMERLE as Regional Director of Pôle Emploi PACA, and Monsieur Yvon GROSSO, President of UPE06, signed a partnership agreement.
The Territorial Directorate of Alpes-Maritimes of Pôle Emploi and UPE06 wished to formalize the pooling of their skills and resources to offer, within the framework of optimizing the territorial network, a first level of service to active individuals and companies in the department.
An initiative replicated with the BTP Federation, a high-potential sector that has suffered greatly in recent years due to the issue of posted workers from Eastern European countries.
Under this agreement, Pôle Emploi will conduct a series of interviews with the nine professional sections of the Construction and Public Works Federation of Alpes Maritimes, in order to assess workforce needs and the skills expected by companies, to facilitate employers’ search for candidates.
Furthermore, to support jobseekers’ return to work and secure their career paths, Pôle Emploi commits to forwarding qualified applications and offering training corresponding to the needs of companies in the sector.
