The first edition of the Nice cuisine competition “Chef for a Day” took place last year during the Association Meet-up and saw Elena Zuccarelli win the first trophy, which she will put back up for grabs this year against 9 other candidates.
And to select these nine other finalists who will try to dethrone Elena, territory finals will be organized during the months of April, May, and June at the Paul Augier Hotel School, through the Arènes de Cimiez, the Ariane, or even Place Pierre Gautier.
Are you an expert in Nice Cuisine and delight your family and friends with your pissaladières, stuffed dishes, capouns, and pan bagnats? Then you can try your luck to win the final of your territory and gain access to the grand finale, which will take place at the next Association Meet-up.
For that, it’s quite simple! You just need to click on this link and submit your application in the final of the district in which you reside (proof of residence required). You will then receive an email confirmation of registration and discover the technical sheet of the recipe you must detail precisely (ingredients and methodology), accompanied by a photo.
The chosen recipes are:
T1-T2: Niçoise Salad
T7: Pissaladière
T8-T9: Sweet Chard Pie
T3-T6: Pan Bagnat
T4-T5: Trouchia
The 10 best applications will be chosen (quality of the recipe, choice of ingredients…) and the lucky selected individuals will be invited to participate in their territory’s final by having their creation tasted by a jury composed of restaurant professionals, cooking teachers, and notable figures of the territory.
The winner of the territory final will therefore gain access to the grand finale, which will feature many surprises and prestigious guests.
