Become a “Chef for a Day” of Niçoise Cuisine

Latest News

Registrations are well underway for this second edition of the “Chef for a Day” Niçoise cooking contest, which will see nine territorial finals take place to designate the winners who will join Elena Zuccarelli, the winner of the first edition in 2014. But, how can you take part in these territorial finals? Nice Premium explains everything to you!

To participate in the final of your territory, it’s simple: you must first register on the official website of the City of Nice: https://chefdunjour.nice.fr. To do this, simply fill out the registration form, which will automatically assign you to your territory based on your postal address. You will then receive an email confirming your registration, indicating the recipe for your territory, and you will have to confirm it by clicking on the link provided in the email. Attached to the message, you will also find a blank recipe sheet that you will need to complete and return with a photo of your dish to cuisine.nissarde@ville-nice.fr.

If your recipe is chosen, you will be invited to the final of your territory, during which you will present your creation to a jury composed of chefs, professors from the Paul Augier hospitality school, members of Niçoise associations, and local personalities. The best dish, after the jury’s deliberation, will earn a spot in the grand final of the contest, which will take place next September during the Rendez-Vous des Associations.

So, get your keyboards and stoves ready to try and become the “Chef for a Day 2015”!
