For the 25th consecutive year, the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Community Life is organizing the Youth Award within the framework of the Cannes Film Festival, which will be held from May 17 to May 28, 2006.
This award honors a film selected from the Festival’s two official selections (Competition and Un Certain Regard) and will be bestowed by a jury of young cinema enthusiasts, consisting of 7 members.
A pre-selection process to become a member of this jury is organized by the Regional Youth Information Center Côte d’Azur.
To participate, each candidate must:
– be aged 18 to 25 years old (as of March 30, 2006)
– have an interest in image and sound professions (audiovisual, multimedia, sound) whether within a student path or a professional integration path
Candidates must compile a file containing:
– a cover letter
– a text of 2 to 4 pages in free format (review, poetry, song, story…) expressing your relationship with cinema and films through the theme of “Freedom”
– a detailed curriculum vitae
– 4 passport size photos.
