The official “Geneviève de Fontenay” committee, represented in Nice by Josiane Valette, Regional Delegate of Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur, in partnership with the city of Nice, is organizing a casting to select candidates for Miss Nice 2009.
Several steps on the road leading to the “Miss France 2010” final on December 5th in Nice!
The casting on Saturday, June 6, is the first step on the road leading to the Miss France 2010 final that will take place in Nice on December 5, 2009:
• Saturday, June 6 – from 4 PM to 8 PM – Casting for the election of “Miss Nice 2009” at the Exedra Hotel;
• Saturday, July 18 – Official election of “Miss Nice 2009” at Casino Ruhl;
• Saturday, August 22 – “Miss Nice 2009” will participate in the election of “Miss Côte d’Azur 2009” at Albert 1st Garden;
• Saturday, December 5 – Miss Côte d’Azur will participate in the Miss France 2010 election, live on TF1.

Following the casting on June 6, the 12 contenders for the title “Miss Nice 2009” will be filmed by the teams of NiceTV.fr, where their video portrait will be uploaded before the July 18 final. After the elections on July 18 and August 22, NiceTV.fr will successively broadcast a feature dedicated to the new Miss Nice 2009 and the new Miss Côte d’Azur 2009.
All young women aged 17 to 24, at least 1.70 meters tall, possessing good general knowledge, and single, are invited to apply for this selection. To have the best chance of being selected, they must appear in a skirt, dress, or suit, wear high heels, and be styled and made-up.
To prepare for the Official Election of Miss NICE 2009 at Casino Ruhl on Saturday, July 18, the selected candidates will receive appropriate training from Josiane Valette, which will enable them to acquire a graceful walk, poise, and the ease necessary for parading during the four rounds corresponding to four choreographed and staged musical numbers. They will thus be ready to present the finest outfits and to highlight swimwear as well as evening gowns.
Josiane Valette, the PACA regional delegate of the “Geneviève de Fontenay” committee, will chaperone the elected young women of the region and create the choreographies for the parades.
