The Popular Republican Union, founded in March 2007, is a political party led by former presidential candidate François Asselineau.

Benjamin Michaud (32 years old), an air conditioning technician in civilian life, has been elected by the new national bureau of the UPR as departmental delegate for the Alpes-Maritimes. The party, which claimed more than 30,000 members in 2018, is thus seeking new momentum in the department.

As a reminder, Valéry Sohm, who represented the UPR in the municipal elections, garnered 0.92% of the votes in the first round in Nice, which represented approximately 550 votes.

For the new delegate, the objective in the coming months will be, the establishment of a dynamic and structured activist group. Our common goal is clear and precise: FREXIT in 2022. Our strike force will only be effective by setting up a serious and ambitious organization now.

He also announced that a delegation deputy will be appointed in each constituency of the department. A delegation council will also be created to better structure local activist actions and have better interaction with their various interlocutors.
