The Bermond Farm, nestled in the heart of the city of Nice, in the Moulins district, opens its doors to offer you an immersion into urban agriculture and environmental education.
Since its beginnings in the 1970s, this unique farm has taken root in the heart of urban life, just a few steps from the Moulins district. Endowed with an educational and ecological mission, it stands out for its commitment to eco-citizen projects, such as promoting volunteering and education on animal care.
With nearly 200 barnyard animals, the Bermond Farm has created a truly rich and diverse agricultural environment. Among the residents of this unique farm are goats, hens, and a variety of ducks, all contributing to the lively life of the family garden. Similarly, Bermond Farm diversifies its activities by cultivating a variety of fruits, including citrus fruits, fig trees, apricot trees, cherry trees, apple trees, and peach trees.
Each year, Bermond Farm welcome 3,500 students during school visits, thereby contributing to their environmental education. For those who wish to contribute, membership is free and open to all, in exchange for two days of volunteer work per month. Additionally, members benefit from privileged access to fresh vegetables and eggs from the farm, available at a participatory fee of โฌ1.50 per kilogram. Furthermore, a complete meal service is offered to members for only 10 euros.
Through its initiatives, Bermond Farm promotes social connection and cohesion by encouraging participation and collaborative work, while helping to reduce food waste.
