The successor to Prefect Leclerc, who left the Alpes-Maritimes for Seine-Saint-Denis, is now known: Bernard Gonzalez was appointed this Wednesday in the Council of Ministers.

After starting his career in 1977 at the Directorate-General for External Security of the Ministry of Defense, Bernard Gonzalez was appointed prefect of Lot, then of Ardèche. In 2015 he was appointed in Vaucluse and then joined Maine-et-Loire in July 2017.
